The City That Never Sleeps

It's already the last day of October 2012?! Oh man.

I'm down with flu again. Oh well, but thank God I didn't lose my sense of taste and smell, or else it'd be a shame to miss my mum's HOME COOKED DINNER tonight! Yes! Home-cooked dinner like finally?! I got home early today and I was pretty surprised when my mum told me she actually cooked dinner tonight. I was all, "OH. MY. GAWD. DID YOU SAY YOU COOK DINNER?! COOK?!"

HAHAHAHAHA. It's like such a rare sight to see my mum standing in front of the cooking stove and frying fried rice, and she cooked MY ALL TIME FAVORITE PORRIDGE TOO. I can't have enough but I'm too full and my tummy is so bloated I can hardly breathe. And the fact that she always claims her cooking sucks, she can't cook, nonetheless I still love the fried rice she cooks. There's nothing unique about her fried rice, but it's always that aroma of fried rice she cooks which got me reminded of her. I have no idea how to describe this feeling. It's indescribable. Anyway, there's this old saying that goes, "妈妈的味道" ; I guess I'm beginning to understand the meaning of this phrase. Hehehe.

Oh yeah. Just a short update here. Life's been pretty.. okay.

"It was rare, I was there, I remember it all too well." - Taylor Swift; All Too Well.

I love this song so much. Listening to Taylor's music records always keeps my mood calm and relaxed. :')

Till then.
