Good morning ! Life has been great so far. Maybe not as great as you think =/
Anyway, guess what have I been up to lately?! It's something that is so freaking cool and fun !
It's super cool ! And that is............ FILMING ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Because you get to play the cameraman, producer, director and of course, not forgetting the actor/actress roles. :D Multimedia is awesome hot max. :D Not the Animation part, oopsie. How I wished there was this course in Ngee Ann that is involved only the multimedia, excluding Animation. What's so nice about drawing characters? Sigh. Okay back to the topic, you must have been thinking how the hell animation is linked up with filming. I'm equally perplexed as you, but now I'm not. Cos I'm doing Multimedia AND Animation. I wished I could stay in the filming industry forever. xDD

Can't believe I actually have the opportunity to do a short filming and able to learn more about the media industry. Well, this current semester, I'm engaged in this course known as Digital Audio Video (DAV in short). It's actually about filming and it's like we're working in Mediacorp industry right now. Learning everything that always takes place behind the scenes of a drama or interview. The crews which include the cameraman, soundman, directors as well as producers.. all of them play a significant role. I heard from my tutor we might even get the chance to visit Mediacorp to understand more about post-production in future. :D

Being an actor/actress is a tough job as well. After so many NG takes, and if you're still unable to get into the mood or the perfect expression which the director tasked you to do, it'll affect the whole crew. Especially the poor cameraman. Holding the camera with extremely careful and steady moves as you follow the actor to film close up shots. The hands of the cameraman must be steady enough to produce a good scene. And speaking of close up shots, I never knew there are so many close up shots until I studied this module. Let's see if I'll remember all of them.. *recapping in process* Extreme close-up, mid shots, medium close-up( I guess ? ), close-up... I guess that's all? =x ...

Erm yeah, so we've been tasked to film a short drama and a 30 seconds news interview on Friday. David chose Anh as the Producer cum Director, and this role perfectly suits her LOL. But are you aware being the Producer is the stressful job ever. Cause David says if there's any mistakes regarding the entire filming, Producer is the first to be blamed and who is responsible for everything. And btw David is my tutor cum freelance( I think so ? ) director of Mediacorp. He involves in shooting commercials and most of the time, documentaries. I'm not too sure for dramas. Oh it sounds cool to know that your tutor is actually a director and David will often share his stories about filming, his job as a director. He even showed us commercials of Carlsberg which he shoots celebrities like Tay Ping Hui and Michelle Chia. And it's interesting to see what normally happens behind the scenes and how the artistes kena so many NGs and went through so many takes HEHEHEHEHEHE.

Lmao sorry for the sidetracking all the time. xD So back to topic, I was saying Anh was the director cum producer, then Isaac and I were the main actor and actress. Keane was the cameraman and I really gotta compliment Keane. Steady cameraman for the win ! (Y)
And Ashrul was the news reporter. HAHAHHA. Oh so the entire storyboard goes like this :

We're shooting a murder scene for our drama. I was the one being followed and eventually stabbed by the murderer, Isaac. And the next day, there'll be a news interview regarding this murder scene which took place in NP. So many NG scenes and takes heheheh and I can't stop laughing at the NG scene on that News report. Ashrul was like tongue-tied and pronounced stabbed multiple times as " mul..mul..multiple stab times. " LOL damn hilarious :D

I'll show you guys the video asap after the editing is done ! :D

Actually, I've always loved to work in a team. Everyone is united, work hand in hand, plays their individual parts well and gives in their best to produce good work... Yeah, the satisfaction you get after working in a team and accomplished something successfully together is really AWESOME. (Y) (:

3 cheers to Epic Face Production ! ! ! :D
