Hi there! Just came back from Shanghai few days back. Well, I shan't be too long-winded. I guess I'll just summarise the whole story of my entire China journey trip with photos and a lil bit of captions.
On that day when I was supposed to fly to China with Shareen, her sis and her mum, you wouldn't know how dumb I was. I had my luggage packed so nicely, everything was arranged properly and then I headed to Changi Airport with my parents. Guess what?! How could I forget my dearest PASSPORT!?! It was only after I reached the airport and the girls' mum out of the blue just popped out this question to my mum in the washroom, "passport yao dai hor?" (cantonese). Then it just came to my mind that I'd beautifully forgotten to bring my passport along. HAHAHAHA. Can't help it, I just feel like laughing and crying at the same time lor. Ku1 xiao4 bu4 de2. -_- What happened was I phoned my bro who just came back from dinner with his friends. I can't be any luckier. So he rushed to the airport with his sis' passport in his hands. YAY. The timing was JUST SO NICE. :D Thanks bro. lol. Okay, so the flight was about 4 hours plus short to reach Shanghai. Here's what went about when we reached there. Day 1 09 Dec' 09 The weather there was SUPERB. :D With just 0 to 10 degrees celsius every single day. SUPER COOLING :DI still remember the first thing we did when we reached there was that the tour guide brought us to travel in the maglev train. This train is something like you know, they say we can experience the world's first 430 km/hour train ride. In other words, it means the train travels at a very high speed. There, 431 km/h. :D Our very first picture we took on ourselves when we reached there. :D Next, we went to this place Chenghuangmiao Commercial District and we ate the famous Xiaolongbao there. To be frank, the xiaolongbao they sold at that restaurant wasnt that nice. I nearly had a bad impression on xiaolongbao. But it was only after on the very last day, free and easy, so the girls' mum bought xiaolongbao at some sort of stalls I guess, the xiaolongbao sold there tasted good! :D Back to the xiaolongbao we ate on the first day at Chenghuangmiao there, the xiaolongbao not only tasted bad and it was damn expensive too. (Above) Oh yes and one more thing, you know in China, people spit everywhere and you can smell cigarette smoke anywhere and everywhere. Be it even in restaurant and theatrette, these people are just so inconsiderate. >:(And the traffic there was terrible too. I can finally understand what does it really really mean by MA LU RU HU KOU. I see this wherever I go. Yup so after the xiaolongbao, it's free and easy and we're given about an hour to shop around that vicinity. So we walked here walked there and walked everywhere. It was rather bored cause we didn't have anything to buy on the first day, so why not pictures? :D These are sweets! Well I thought this was quite interesting so I took it down. HAHA. Bin tang hu lu, is that right? But we didn't get a taste on that. You know actually we went to quite a number of places in China. Like Shanghai, Wuxi, Suzhou, Wuzhen, Hangzhou and Nanjing. But the places we went were all mixed up. Well, you don't expect me to remember all the places we went before right? =x I think we were in Suzhou bah. Hahaha. Anyway, I like this place! Love places with tall buildings. :D This looks fun. We didn't get a chance to ride on that though. =/ Next, we went to this place and I remember it's called Ou Yuan! :D Cause the picture explains why. I don't care but this is art. :P The scenery was so nice there! It's just that my photography skills are lousy, so maybe you might be thinking the place is not that mesmerising. Zi lian. xP But my hands are too short, unable to capture the scenery behind. Such a pity :(
Another photo taken. And that's me, shareen, their mum and her sis. :D This is the Hanshan Temple. ------------------------------------------------------ And our journey continues on Day 2...........
Looking back at the pictures taken, I can roughly recall we went to this Silk factory on that day. The bus ride from Suzhou to Wuzhen(Hangzhou) was... I've forgotten the exact duration, but I supposed it's hours. You know, China is HUGE. Anyway, back to topic, we went to the silk factory and learnt about how silk pillows, blankets, bedsheets were made. Can tell the pillows and blankets all these are of good quality man. Xinfen's mum bought a pillow. I wanted to, but I budget ah. Haha. Along the way, love the long bus ride the most. :D Then after this, we went up and took a break at the so-called cafe at silk factory there? And I think their chairs look interesting. HAHA. After reaching Hangzhou on Day 2, we came to this place, I'm not sure whether is it known as the Wansong Academy? While waiting for everyone to gather in group, isn't this the typical singaporean youngsters would do? xD . . . This place is super nice! =D
I think we went to Wu Zhen after this. Yes, Wu Zhen. Next! We're given a chance to board the small lil boat. The scenery is totally!!!!! NICE!
Oh yes, you know something, China shares the same time as us. But there are two differences between China and Singapore. First it's the weather, secondly, you know when it's only 5pm in the evening, Singapore is still so bright, yet China is already as dark as 7pm. So can you imagine right. I feel rather weird there. It's too early to be night time. Hahaha. So next, it's lunch (or dinner, I've forgotten) time. We went to eat their jia1 xiang1 cai4 at Hangzhou there bah. Quite delicious, better than day 1. Erm, this was taken only after we finished eating our meal. I think that's about it for day two. Shall stop here for now. I'm off to my cousin's house for buffet dinner, she just gave birth to a babyboy :) Many more pictures to come along! Stay tune! :D |
